We have observed one of the ethernet connections between our data centres has slight packet drops, of around 0.5%. Because that ethernet connects to IP transit, usage experience are slightly affected. The reason probably is due to switching equipments in the optical ring. This is being investigated and will be resolved shortly. The ethernet connection may be replaced by a direct optical connection and the target date to resolve is 2 Jul 2022. One of our upstreams has LAG Link Aggregation issue which drops packets at one of the links in the LAG group.
We have disabled this upstream. Performance to US and Europe may be impacted temporarily.

Telco was informed and changed the path to protection path to solve the problem.

An optical port on a Cisco switch in Zone A was detected down by observium.
The port connects to telco.
Telco was informed and determined that a transceiver needs replacement on the telco switch.
Engineer were dispatched and parts replaced.
Problem was resolved at 2022/6/23 1:05AM.
